Should I completely dye my hair blue?

My hair is dark brown with a few blue streaks in it. It is cut short ( a bit below the ear) and is curly. I've been thinking about dying my whole hair blue but am not too sure. I don't care about looking a bit weird as long as I don't look like an overgrown, mutant, rampaging Smurf. Is the damaged produced by the bleach worth it?
