What cleanser should i choose to clean the fireplace interior abit?

It is a messy job, wear old clothes and spread newspaper around the fireplace. Remove all large debris by hand and then using a shop vac, vacuum out the dust, ashes and soot. Open the windows for fresh air and then using a mixture of one gallon warm water with one cup of bleach, scrub the walls and floor with a stiff bristled brush.
