Tornado Safety help plz!!?

I live in a old two story house probably built in the 40s.really high roofs, a lot of windows, large rooms. I am petrified of Tornadoes. We had a watch while I was in school before, and I had a panic attack to the point I couldn't breath. The only safe place that seems it would be safe would be a tiny closet east(i think) side of my house. all the other rooms are big, or they have windows or gl. I live in Tarpon Florida, and have been told time and time again, that tornadoes aren't that common, but every time a storm comes, I freak out. How can I be safe, and control my fear, if a tornado does come?Is there a way to calm myself down if there is just a storm?
