Divorce questions - Canadians Only!!?

I have all my divorce papers, I just have to take em to the courthouse in a month or so (I am waiting for the 12 month period of separation to expire). I am not asking for spousal support thought I am entitled, I also walked away and let him have the house and everything (we have NO KIDS). I just want an uncontested divorce but he keeps saying maybe he'll fight the divorce and maybe he won't. Can he fight it at all? I am with another man and have no desire to talk to my ex after the abuse I went through. Does he have grounds to contest on, or will I be okay? and how long will the proceedings take? and how can I have the papers served on him with a process server? Please help, I cannot afford a lawyer, the papers alone cleaned out my tiny savings...never mind the fees I have to pay to file.
