Side effects in the 3rd week of yasmin?

I'm on my first month of yasmin and during the 3rd week I started spotting and my became sore and started to itch. Is this normal? I haven't been on bcp's in a few years and I don't remember what's normal. Anyone had these side effects with Yasmin?
