Does anyone know anything about gastric byp surgery?

Ok I am 22 and have been overweight most of my life I am now morbidly obese and I need to loose weight! I want a baby so bad and I want tobe able to take care of it! I am 5' 2" and I have a bmi of about 52.5 I was wondering what anyone knows about byp surgery or lap-band? has anyone had it done how much does it cost? is there anywhere in canada that has this available? any links would be appreciated!
